The national testing agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the NTA JEE Main 2025 January session exams from 22 to 31 January 2025.

Candidates seeking admission to prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, and CFTIs must qualify the JEE Main exam to pursue B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, or B.Planning courses.
The registration for session 2 will commence from 31 January and will be available till 24 February 2025. The exam for the April session will be conducted from 1 to 8 April 2025.
NTA JEE Main 2025 Registration Process
The registration for JEE Main 2025 January session has been started by the authority, candidates can fill the application form till 22 November, 2024.
For registration, candidates need to visit the NTA JEE official website at (www.jeemain.nta.nic.in).

NTA JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility
Candidates should have passed their Class 12 or equivalent exam in 2023 or 202, or appearing in the year 2025.
Eligibility for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech):
Must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
Must have studied one additional subject: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a technical vocational subject.
Eligibility for Paper 2A (B.Arch):
Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
Requires a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Eligibility for Paper 2B (B.Plan):
Must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics as a mandatory subject.
Requires a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.
Additional Criteria for Admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs:
Requires at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class 12 board exam or a position in the top 20 percentile of their board.
For SC/ST candidates, the requirement is 65% aggregate in Class 12.
NTA JEE Main 2025 Examination Pattern
The NTA JEE Main examination is conducted for two paper i.e. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning).
Paper 1 is conducted only via computer based test (CBT). Whereas Paper 2 will be also held via CBT mode but Drawing part will be held via Pen & Paper Based mode.
The exam is conducted in 13 different languages including Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

The JEE Main paper 1 will contain a total of 75 questions, Section A will contain 20 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The section B will have 5 questions from each subject.

In the Paper 2A for B.Arch, part 1 (Mathematics) will have 25 questions, 20 from section A and 5 from section.
Part 2 (aptitude test) will contain 50 questions and Part 3 (drawing test) will have 2 questions carrying 100 marks.

Paper 2B will have 3 parts like Paer 2A. Part 1 will be mathematics having Section A and section B with 20 & 5 questions respectively.
Part 2 (aptitude test) will contain 50 questions and Part 3 (planning test) will have 25 questions carrying 100 marks.
JEE Main Exam City Intimation Slip
The exam city intimation will be released by NTA, one or two weeks before the exam date. This early notification allows candidates to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements ensuring they reach their exam center without any hassle.
To download the city intimation slip, candidates have to use their login credentials such as username and password.
NTA JEE Main 2025 Admit Card
Candidates can download the JEE Main admit from the official website a few days before the exam. The admit card is a crucial document that includes important details like the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time, venue, and essential instructions to be followed on the exam day.
Candidates have to use their login credentials to download the admit card. After downloading the admit card, if any discrepancies are found, it must be reported to the exam authorities immediately for correction.
NTA JEE Main 2025 Result
The NTA will release the JEE Main 2024 result for session 1 on 12 February, 2025 and for session 2 the result will be available on 17 April 2025.
To check the result, candidates have to use the login credentials like application number and password. The scorecard includes the candidate’s individual scores for each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), overall score, percentile scores, and any applicable category ranks.
Candidates who have appeared in both the sessions, their best of the scores from any of the sessions will be considered for counselling and admission process.
NTA JEE Main 2025 Counselling
NTA JEE Main 2025 Counselling process will be conducted for JEE Main qualified candidates in the month of May or June 2025. The counselling will be conducted online and will be managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and CSAB.
